hey fellas!
the newsletter is to be released on 2 nd of december (rohit sir told me today) so we have to be ready with it atleast one week prior to the date i.e. 24th of november.

with regards to the name, Rohit sir wants it to be twissha only so no need to search anymore.start filing in articles and ideas about the pages that you want to see in the newsletter so that we can create a rough structure on our own and later on send it to the designer n he could add on to it and create a developed version . individual entries invited.

so our task ahead is
1) to create a structure of one's own version of newsletter (suggesting content on diff pages)ex: we can have a page about terpsi chorean a collage sort of a page with b&w pics where they are practicing, trying montages, dressing up, tired and snoozing :P, a still of their dance seq, lifts, elated, etc etc with tags along side .the purpose is to show various moods thru which terpsi has been thru :)
2) individual entries n write-ups.

These are some things that i personally would like to see in the letter:

• i would want to start with an article on value of dance today..it might just sound cliche but i am not talking about any other article about dance but something never thought of before,out of the box...i mean its relevance from how its being used as a medium of performing arts including media of dance( and i am not talking about the regular salsa, hiphop etc but something totally at a different level) to a platform of exhibition of oneself to it being used as a pallative therapy to how some people use it to connect with the almighty..its osho significance..etc etc..so i have started working on it..will come out with it soon..and once everyone approves of it we can put it in the letter..i would really like your judgements, ideas, criticism etc in particular!
• Another thing that we could include could be the the productions of various other choreography socities..i description of the themes of other colleges..because i am sure readers apart from the performing members would like to know what the others have been up with the entire year:)
• we should also put as many pictures about dance or otherwise socity pictures to make it look good to read..much more presentable
• we will infact have to dedicate a page to sponsors and mentors as well

This is so far of somethings that i could think of..i really dont know if i have been able to express myself fully with what i want..atleast with that article..need ideas, suggestions,help:)

About the newsletter, I have a few ideas, though I don't exactly know what all is supposed to be in it. So can there be a post explaining the vision for the newsletter. I read that its supposed to be fun and laid back, but is it going to be centered about Tvisha? Or Terpsi? Or dance in general?

Also I have never really used CorelDraw, but from what I've heard about it, isn't it more of a Graphics related software?

So here are my ideas, I don't know if they're appropriate or not, but still.

• A column on the lines of this one. http://matadornights.com/how-to-ask-“would-you-like-to-dance”-in-50-different-languages/
  
  
• A column called 'Learn the Move' ( or a way cooler name) , that is a step by step breakdown of a dance step, with pictorial representations of course.
  
  
• A tribute to MJ. Though I don't know about terpsi's views about break dance yet.
  
  
• It might sound lame, but each page could have a quote about dance, or famous dancers at the end, like a footnote. Funny or really inspiring ones.
  
  
• Also, if we could include a gossip column that could include all the gossip and stupid random stuff from tvisha, of course with an indirect approach.
  
  
• Maybe we could have an interview some famous dancers (like maybe the judges of tvisha).

Yo! Fellas ...hope you all are doing great :) I think we should start pouring our ideas and perspectives with regard to the newsletter. We need a new name (as Era suggested :)) for the newsletter so idea's invited. Also we should start working on the BASIC STRUCTURE of the newsletter, SOFTWARE TO BE USED, CONCEPT OR THEME (if u find any) and rest other blah details and particulars.

Freshers Partyy

Having started the trend for throwing a freshers party, the terpsychorean had to live up to take it forward to subsequent years...haha..and there was certainly no getting away with it. So here i am giving you a first hand experience of the freshers partyy!!
With being reluctant to going to Morrison probably the 3rd or the 4th time in a row:( or being adamant in dressing up for the truly jocular theme 'cartoon'..it on the contrary turned out to be a trip worth one.
So first things first..who was wearing what? Umm it was good to see people having made genuine efforts in decking up but disastrous and hilarious to even see the ones who had failed miserably..haha..no taking names:)....i would also at the same time like to appreciate the tact of all those people who in the name of some or the other cartoon character had come dressed simply but yet made a style statement..:)..haha..
The venue had been done up catering to a variety of cartoon themes picked up groups in prior..there was addams family( which had graves obviously factual with the statements 'rest in peace' meant for choreography socities of other colleges..yes you got that right..rohit sir in an effort..haha), umm then there was duck tales which was surely the true winner from the choreography they had prepared to how they were dressed to their area that they had done..i know all this may sound sloppy and gay..even it took me sometime to come top terms with the fact that they had been practicing and all for their dance piece but it surely turned out to be great!!!
Then there was jungle book, flint stones etc etc..Then started the cliche fresher introduction round, paper dance, mr n ms fresher( no not that i a against any such thing but i am in no mood to give a nitty gritty of what happened:)) etc etc but the strip dance and the mithun dance surely broke the monotony..haha..and ofcource how can i not make a mention of the food which was really bad..sorry but it sucked..So here we are the choreography society of hans raj college who are always up for whacko stuff all the time..please dont be surprised for more in future..haha..

Welcome Writers!

Hey Everyone!
Firstly i am extremely sorry for not being very creative in naming the blog:(..we will explore and come out with something exciting!!
Anyway this blog is exclusive to only the members of the editorial caucus within the society and whatever you want to post related to the newsletter, daily practice sessions, parties etc etc you are welcome to do so!
Also Payal and i have decided that we will not be calling the newsletter a 'newsletter'..what i mean to say here is that we will come out with a synonym for the word 'newsletter' which should be chic, creative blah blah..Also the so called newsletter will by no means will be a formal paper however something full of gossip, extremely laidback, fun..etc etc..
We both have also consented to work on the Coreldraw format during the year for all the paperwork..so try to learn about it from your friends or people around who know this software! Also at the same time if you have something better in mind then please shoot with your ideas!!
Another very important thing that i would like to address here is that guys we will be working as a team within a team and if there is anything that you think is not right or there is a clash of thought at any point of time then please we will make sure that we will clarify the same because the whole idea is to work together and enjoy at the same time:)

We would also be looking for sponsorships for the newsletter so lets start working on the proposal letter..also if you guys know people working for magazines, newsletters please try to ask though in a very subtle way whether their organisations offer sponsorships etc etc

Also we will not be working in watertight compartments..you have full freedom to work..if there is something that you dont approve of whether proposed by me or payal you are welcome to tell us so that we can always improve..

Ok this is too much gyaan..sorry..but yes lets start working and carve a niche for the choreosoc!! yipeeeeeeeee!!

Ps: i will create labels for posts so that we can keep posting appropriately under suitable heads!!
